i receive a lot of pdfs and excel docs via email and they need to be correctly filed away [on my mac] and is relatively straight forward.

I was just curious to see how i would do this on an iPad (and please dont recommend Files as its horrible). Im not really a fan of cloud storage so that would rule out onedrive and dropbox.

Documents and PDF Expert by Readdle are my go to for PDF's and files. I use PDF Expert on my MacBook and iPad.

For the life of me, I cannot figure out how much it costs. Maybe I’m reading impaired, but the App Store and developer website have the price hidden very well.

I have hundreds of PDFs and use GoodReader as my app of choice. It has very good file handling built-in and can use your iCloud storage natively. That would allow you to sync the files with your Mac, assuming both devices are logged in to the same iCloud account.
