Yes it was running in internal display mode, AMD XConnect in Windows 10. You can read more about the setup process in Bootcamp here.

XFX cards are notorious for not working on the mac...further I'm not sure that card has native support? Let's wait for someone else to chime in for sure. @theitsage ?

I dumb dumb... I failed to use all eight pins to connect the GPU... Fired right up! Little glitchy getting it going, but I finally got the screen resolution I was looking for. When I started it for the first time with the LG 38UC99, it was all pixelated and every time I adjusted the settings, everything would freeze for a bit. Then I did some manual controls on the LG monitor itself and now it's how it should look.

It shows the RX 64 under About This Mac, but I noticed the internal Retina display shows the same... Will that go into clamshell mode and turn itself off?

Another question, a handful of times now, when using Safari, but cursor will all of a sudden freeze, then about ten seconds later, unfreeze... What's the deal there?

I'll run some benchmarking tomorrow and upload it to YouTube, as I already have the internal GPU benchmarked.

@3587 Re-seat the RX Vega 64 in the slot. I got an XFX RX Vega 56 yesterday and it was a bit of a challenge to get the two feet of the GPU in place. Once it's fully situated the card should work with High Sierra beta. These RX Vega GPUs are all reference design so there's no difference between brands. The AIB cards later on will make a difference in terms of macOS compatibility.

Are you having issues with sudden freezing that lasts only ten seconds or so?

I installed an SSD into the Mantiz along with the RX 64, so not sure if that is causing a bottleneck or if it is just bad GPU drivers?

The drivers for RX Vega in macOS High Sierra are not running well. Closer to the iMac Pro's launch is when the drivers are ready. Also, the 550W PSU in the Mantiz Venus can be overwhelmed by the RX Vega 64 power draw.

Weird, because I'm running the OS off the installed SSD in the Mantiz... It keeps freezing/unfreezing, but when I ran the GPU benchmarks, it didn't freeze once... Could it be the internal SSD running through the same Thunderbolt cable as the GPU?
[doublepost=1505064245][/doublepost]These numbers any good? RX 64 in the Mantiz eGPU vs Pro 460 inside the MBP.

Well, I think I've narrowed down the freezing issue to the GPU itself... I tried a different external drive to run High Sierra, but it had the same slow/freezing issue... As soon as I switched off the eGPU, everything ran just fine. Must be the current drivers in High Sierra that are making it run like this...

Right now I’m trying to figure out the freezing with the manufacture, who has been absolutely amazing by the way… I reseated the card and that seems to have helped with the freezing… But the littlest movement causes a freeze or unfreeze… Would that mean something may be wrong with the card itself? Maybe I'll get a new GPU... Maybe the cable is the issue? Seems like the computer keeps working in the background, just the screen freezes up?
