I know there are apps like QuickShade, but since buying a manual knob that plugs into my iMac to control the volume (and using it constantly) I've wished there was also one for dimming the screen. I use 4+ screens and while I wait for things to download or process, it would be nice to dim them quickly and easily...
Does anyone know of a plug and play solution, or even something that can be done with some customizing...?
Or a way to repurpose the manual volume buttons I already use...?
There was once an item on Kickstarter that had manual buttons for Photoshop, but I remember looking and there wasn't anything in the bundle that would dim the screen.
Also, if nothing exists, and someone here has the ability (know-how) to build something like this, which I assume would be an app that could use an existing (or custom) knob to dim the screen, then get in touch, as I'd be willing to explore financing a run of an item that could do this.
Attatched are the 2 different manual volume controls that I use now, and 2 photos of the Pallet system that I don't even know if it was successful on Kickstarter or wherever I saw it, just so you get an idea of what I mean.
