Manually manage iphone music on two computers

I followed the guide here but for the love of god some reason when I use hexedit it can't find the library ID, even tried searching both ways for the ID in the hexeditor, like this:

F1 D3 D9 A6 D7 D3 E4 D4

and

F1D3D9A6D7D3E4D4

I'm using the library ID from my windows 7 PC to my snow leopard macbook, I have no idea why the guide doesn't work for me. Is there an alternative way I can go about doing this?

That's pretty much the same method that was posted in numerous places on the internet. So, there's nothing else AFAIK.
