Other than Pocket Casts, are there any podcast apps that give you the ability to manually transfer downloads to the Apple Watch? I've tried Apple's Podcasts app and Overcast and the transfer of podcasts to my watch is hit or miss (and mostly miss). Pocket Casts is fine if there's nothing else, but the iPhone interface feels clunky compared to Overcast. What is does, however, is allow you to download a podcast directly on the Watch.

Overcast has the function but it doesn't seem to work. I wound up having to hit the sync section and set it there. In most cases that's OK, but when playing catchup with podcasts, where the order matters like a history podcast, no bueno!

Apple's app is pure chaos. It'll send everything you don't want and nothing you do.

Do you have it set to Auto-Sync? That‘s what I’m trying with a playlist. New episodes sometimes will show up, but they’re set for streaming and not downloaded to the watch itself, which I would prefer.
