Thanks. Yes the mono price are the ones I ordered from amazon. The Comcast cables said 4K high speed etc but didn’t allow the atv to work in Dolby Vision.
[doublepost=1508175100][/doublepost]Any apps or shows on the lg tv app that I can use to test the atmos etc once I set up the arc vs optical?
Are you connecting the apple tv directly to the receiver or the TV? And if it's connected directly to the receiver, does the receiver support Dolby Vision?
Maybe Vudu if you have any movies on it that also support Atmos. I'm not sure which movies on Netflix/amazon support atmos. Otherwise you'd have to test with a BD rip that has atmos via the plex app on the TV. If you have any of your own rips.

I connect directly to the Denon. There was a fw update for the denon that it’s supposed to do vision. I think it’s the cables I’m using. I’ll try the monoprice tonight. when I get home.

Wonder if I should get a BD player?

Just got the Apple TV 4k and hooked it up to my Samsung new oled65c7p. I notice in many of the netflix's 4k shows there is a lot of what looks like film grain/noise. Some shows are not as bad. I tried several 4k UHD youtube videos on the built in 4k youtube app on the tv and no grain at all (and was blown away).

Im assuming the grain is in the original filming wether it be high ISO noise or just film grain and then the 4K HD makes it more obvious?

As for the grain, make sure you haven't adjusted the sharpness level for added sharpness. That will make any image look grainy.

Thanks but its only certain content thats grainy so I think its the source like other have said. Prob high iso or not original recorded in 4K.
[doublepost=1508204263][/doublepost]Soo I cannot get ARC audio to pass from the tv to the Denon 730. I have the HDMI going from the monitor port on the Denon to the HDMI/ARC port on the TV.. I have both the TV and Denon set to ARC but only sound I get is when I use the optical cable.
