Well I've outgrown my 2019 15" i9 16GB MBP after 6.5 years. Just ordered a 16" MBP M5 Pro 64 GB memory with 2TB SSD. Gotta wait 3 weeks for it so only 3 more weeks of a rather warm MBP. I did replace the thermal compound 2 years ago on the 2019 which helped a lot but it's time to retire the old gal. Will likely repurpose it as a headless linux machine of some variety. Currently running (headless) a late 2012 Mac Mini (i7, 16GB, 512 GB SSD) and a Rasbperry Pi 5 8GB with Home Assistant running on the Pi and a home hosted web server on the 2012 MM using a cloudflared tunnel and Google Auth. Not sure yet what I'll do with the 2019 MBP but one can never have enough Linux machines, lol.
