map 16 inch speakers low volume?

I am loving this laptop and the sound is nice on these but the volume is pretty low compared to my old MacBook Pro. Is there anything I can do to make it even 10-20 percent louder?

Hmm... I have the opposite experience. The speakers can go louder than I will ever need on a laptop.

What application are you using to test the volume?
You checked system volume vs application volume?
How is the volume when you hookup external speakers / headphones?

Really odd you posted this I was just thinking this. It’s odd that max volume isn’t insanely loud but just loud enough.

I’m having the exact same problem with my 10th gen MBP 13” compared with the 2018 model with 4 thunderbolt ports. The max volume on the 2020 MBP is slightly less (confirmed with a decibel measuring app).
