Mapping to a Windows 2008 R2 Server

Hi,

I have a MACBook Air 10.8.2

I would like to be able to map to a Windows 2008 R2 network share. What is the best way to do this?

Piece of cake,

in finder, click Go, then connect to server.

in the top box type SMB://servername
click connect.
Username, enter windows username with permissions to the share
Password, enter password for windows user
If you want tick remember in my keychain

A list of shares on the server is displayed, simply click on the share you want to access.

IMHO connecting to 2008 don't use server name, use server IP address in the smb string.

Also look at this blog post when connecting to the domain.
