While these features are all great... how about something that would improve safety for example the ability to offline maps or save pre-calculate routes for example if you're going camping and you'll be in an area where there's no cell reception it would be nice to be able to routes.

I know Nokia HERE has same of these abilites and Google Maps you can put a box around areas you want to save.

Really? All we need is simple directions: "turn left", "turn right" etc. We don't need to listen to all the foreign street names we don't give a damn about when we're on holiday and need to drive to our hotel. I've been reporting this for years, but no one at Apple cares. Therefore I'd like Tim to fly to Europe and start driving. His Siri would drive him crazy in minutes.

It's not about street names. Street names are absolutely fine. It's all about being able to eliminate them from audio feedback while driving! It's the most common feature in all navigation systems. Directions only! I don't care about street names while on holiday.
