Maps night mode not working in ios 8?

Using Maps turn-by-turn tonight on my my 6+, I noticed that night mode is no longer "auto-set", and further, I don't see any settings regarding even turning night mode on manually. I did a quick test in my 5s which is also on 8.02, and no might mode there either. Anyone know- has the feature been removed, or is it a known bug?

Agreed. It's not working for me at all.

Works fine for me. Has turned on as expected when using Maps the past two nights.

Night mod gone?

I noticed night mod on my maps is not working, version 8.1.2. Anybody else have this problem?

Doesn't work for me either. I've reported the bug to apple already. 6+ in case anyone's wondering.
