MAPS Question

Just got my first iPhone and have a quick question. if you start maps, ask for directions and then want to cancel the app, how do you do that? If I press the home button and then go back to maps, it still is giving me directions as if the app is just minimized. How do you stop the direction and close the app?

its multi-tasking. stays open till edited. just edit it for your need search.

You can double click the home button and bring up the last used app tray. Hold the app untill it gets wiggly and then delete it. It will clear all the data from any app.
