Mar. 11th Buyers - How delayed is your shipping/when did you order?

Heya guys,

Just wanted to get an idea of how quickly the shipping dates got pushed back, and what shipping dates some people are looking at in reference to exactly when they ordered on launch day.

This can also be a way to see if any of those later shipping estimates are getting pushed up! (Here's hoping :p)

Order Date: Mar 11, 2011 at 11:31 AM PDT
Ships: Apr 1
Delivers: Apr 6

I was awake when they actually went up for sale online, but was still debating at the time whether or not I could allocate the funds at the time.
Woke up a bit later and decided I'd just go for it. Looks like I should have just bought it when I saw them for 3-5 days, eh? ;)
 
I'm in the exact same boat as you. In fact, we only ordered 4 minutes apart.

I was up at the moment they were released & when I saw ships in 3-5 days I decided not to order because I figured I would just walk into a store & get one before Monday. When I saw the ship time shoot up, I decided to order online anyway.

My thought is that I already waited a year to get one, what's another 3 weeks?

I ordered at 3:57 my time, or 12:57 apple time. My shipped yesterday and will arrive a week from yesterday.

I ordered mine at 4:00 AM EST March 11th. Shipped March 13th from China. iPad is currently an hour from my house....so I hope it is delivered today, but the FedEX site says by 4:30pm tomorrow it will arrive.

I ordered at 3:05 AM CST. on 3/11 and it shipped on 3/12. I just checked the shipment tracking and it shows it is out for delivery today! (3/16) :)

Ordered 3/11 @ 3:45 AM. BlkiPad 16g wifi was to ship in 3-5 days. BlkSC was to ship in 1-4 days. iPad shipped and is currently at FedEx in Indy. SC is still in China and wont deliver until Tuesday. Weird the SC got pushed back so far.
 
I made two separate orders around 1am PST on the 11th. The 2nd one is out for delivery today and the first one is in transit in Memphis. I found it interesting that the first one made it out of Hong Kong faster but somewhere between HK and Alaska, it got beat.

I can understand... I just wished I could get some sort of update as to what my order status is. I woke up extremely early (3:50am EST) and my receipt shows the transaction went through at exactly 1:00am PSD... It'd be nice to know that my transaction and wait wasn't for nothing, but at this point, I don't even know if I'm waiting on an iPad or an email that's going to tell me Apple's sorry, but they don't currently have any iPads in stock. They told me "first come, first serve." That's complete BS. They should've said you'll get it when you get it and it's based on the availability of your model.:mad:

Actually it just arrived to my house!!! I still have 2 hours of work left, but all in all, was 5 days for me!! Smart cover came yesterday! Can't wait to get home now!

It *is* very frustrating to get up early, place an online order under the guise of "fast, free shipping" and have it end up being a long drawn out ordeal. And especially frustrating to see others who ordered the exact same thing after I did have their order ship first. That's the part I really don't understand.

This is the first - and last - time I buy any Apple product near a launch date.
