marathon mouse M705 tracking

hey guys I'm relatively new to Mac as I just purchased a refurbished MBA 2013. The one problem that I seem to be having is the tracking with my marathon mouse M705. It just doesn't seem to be as smooth on the Mac as it is on my PC. I have adjusted the tracking speed to a fast setting and wondering if anyone has any advice. Is there anything else I can do or anyone have similar problems?

I'm thinking that it may just be an adjustment that I have to get used to. Any advice would be helpful, thanks!
 
I have the M705 as well. I know Mac OS X has a different acceleration curve for mouse movement, so that might be what you are feeling. Or it could be something completely different. In either case, I think it's just something you get used to over time.
