Ahh, it took me awhile to figure out there was an opacity setting on GeekTool. My mistake.

Getting your dock like that is easy once you realize the dock is just invisible. I used to simulate the black bar in Photoshop until I fiddled around with Geektool last year and got the whole dynamic dock thing going.

It's kind of like a little miniature mind-jump to realize that. But then, ooh, possibilities.

My wife and I were dating when The OC was on television, and periodically go back and watch the first season together over the course of a few weeks. We mutually agree that the first season was great, but was also the only one really worth watching. Subsequent seasons were way below the bar set by the first.

Agreed, I'm about to watch the whole thing again as I do very spring.

One thing I have to say about the show though is that they ended it brilliantly, couldn't have done it better.

GeekTool (all of the bottom stuff, including an image for the calendar background and the temperature, plus the black portions of the desktop)
Bowtie (the Wet Floor No Ratings mod)

The theme I'm using is SnowTunes, found via this thread. I'm using the Noir style menubar from the theme.
