the problem is that there is nothing for me to unzip. I download it, and it goes to my desktop, when i open it, it takes me to word where it has a code.

Try it in a different browser than Safari. It didn't work for me in Safari, but it did in Camino.

Before and After

In the February Desktops you complained how my desktop looked too much like a PC with all the startup icons. Well, after much trouble getting dock spacers to work, I have cleaned up.

Do you have a link to that wallpaper by any chance?? I'd like to put it on my new IMac at work!!

I figured my question would fit right in here. I have a desktop from August and I havent saved the image file, i just pulled the picture from somwhere and applied it as a desktop. So, how can I save the picture im using as my desktop so i can FINALLY get a nice new background without losing my current background forever?

Thanks a bunch!

Ooo! Where did you get that... It's the same as a Mac OS X default - just with colour!
I did something similar, using Photoshop, so I'm guessing it's the same technique. Under PS, use the Hue/Saturation sliders (after selecting Colorize) to change B&W to any uniform color you like. Here's my February desktop, as an example.

EDIT: Whoops, I actually went back to look at the picture you quoted, and my original post obviously doesn't apply. That's only for doing a single new color over B&W. To do multiples, I suppose you could do a similar thing, just use a selection tool to highlight the area to be changed.
That'll teach me to blindly reply to posts!

Much better! Isn't it nice to have a clean desktop? ;)

Sorry for the double post, but no room for two images in my first one :)

So, the lasso or magic wand tool does work fine to do colorization as well. I did the following in about 2 minutes, so please excuse the sloppy borders. You can get the gist of it, though, I hope.
