Marijuana decreases fertility

I think that is a great side effect of pot. I can safely bet that the extremely large majority of smokers do not want to get thier lady pregnant anyway.

Seems to say that once the chemicals are out of your body, your little guys don't sprint so hard in the start and pace themseleves again. So, stop smoking, and you should be ok in a bit.

Now when can we get a perscription for mary jane as a contraceptive? This drug just keeps getting better!
 
The only way you'd be able to get people to stop smoking it is prove it cause side effects even Viagra couldn't overcome. ;)

Of course something that makes you stupid and increases fertility would be a dangerous combination, especially if it had Viagra aftertaste. :eek:
 
don't have much to say about this, as i'm gay i doubt i'm likely to get anyone pregnant, but i am a stoner. hmm.

so... ok. my sperm are a little slow. who are you to judge??

Its even worse that in the current research enviroment present at universities its pretty much impossible to get a grant for something when you don't already know the results of your experiment. The people with the money want to know what you're going to find before you start.

We happened to be talking about this in one of my classes, it startled me, but then in the world of today, it seemed to fit.
 
Funny - given the choice between THAT and the new male contraceptive pill, I know which route I'd take.

You could kill two birds with one stone(r) - or, at the very least - a few million...

Yea, I remember discussing this with my girlfriend when I was 17, though then I think it was just something that I had heard somewhere. I'm 25 now, so this is old news. Is this the first time it has been proven scientifically, or is it just another waste of money and time? I have an idea to save corporations money, though... Exempt your employees from drug testing as long as they agree not to have coverage for pregnancy and related expenses as part of their insurance!! I think I'd take the benefit cut.
 
14 times a week for over 5years...talk about moderation.

One glass of wine a day is actually believed to be healthy, but you are going to be in bad shape if you regularly drink a whole bottle...

I think that you pretty safe electric, safety in anonymity of the forum.

neut, I think that it would be pretty close to zero.

Marijuana is very helpful to cancer patients, at that point fertility is not the issue. The actual issue is pain an nausea relief.

Mr. Chong was sentenced for selling drug paraphernalia.

But he was rounded up in the sweep of specialty glass products manufacturers, that were profiting from making drug paraphernalia (or so the Feds say).

Didn't have to be drug paraphernalia, just products that the end user, and drug trafficker's favored.

They went after the glass pipe makers, after their success in nuking of the guy that used make the tiny ziplock baggies.

Didn't help that Mr. Chong was selling direct to the end-user, and was highly visible.

well, HOW MUCH did they smoke EACH TIME? What if these dudes were smoking 6 grams a day? What if they were smoking out of a little tiny bowl? then it's practically nothing....

The whole thing is bogus and pot should be legal anyway. It's a damn ca$h crop, and if the US knows anything it's $.

the taxes on pot that could be generated, coud be used to pay for bush's bogus-war-play-time and not create a huge deficit.

That's my rant, take it easy.

*Note* My intention is not to start anything political, so please don't let it...it's more that the study is dumb and pot should be legal.

its time to throw away those pot laws, its another waste of tax dollars catching people,prosecuting ,jail time, and court time and cost. just another stupid law that was made up by a bunch ignorant law makers 50 years ago. Law after Law after Law. when will our Govt get off our backs and stop forcing lies on us is beyond me. They also said smoking pot makes your tits grow.well if that was the case mine would be down to the floor. they also said smoking it would freak you out,another lie. legalize & tax the piss out of it and use that money for education or whatever. Liberterian Party is looking better and better all the time.
 
Hmm.. they need to do a study on Weed and appetites.. I seem to always be hungry after I burn an L.

Anyone else experiencing these strange side effects? ;p

i would not trust pot as the primary protection method though.

besides - a guy that smokes over 14 times a week pot probably has a lady who smokes it as much. are the ladies fertility rates with that amount of pot then doubled or halved?
