Mark Up in Pages using Apple Pencil

Is there a way to use the Apple Pencil in Pages as a markup tool in the Pages file format before it sent out?

No. Not yet at least. You could always convert your file to a PDF and write on it that way, but otherwise, no.

Microsoft Word, however, just added Pencil drawing. I've used it to sign documents then send them back, with the signatures displaying perfectly on the recipient's PC.

I Windows Word has (far) better stylus support than the default PDF reader :/

This still hasn‘t arrived and it‘s a bit of a joke really - how can Apple not have implemented this by now?

I hope, but seriously doubt, Apple will add handwriting-to-text support into Pages. It would be kinda cool for those people who prefer pen & paper.

I wouldn’t be surprised if this is added in a future update to Pages as they’re making a big deal out of markup in iOS 11. There’s usually big updates to the iWork suite when the new iOS and Mac OS versions come out.
