Last summer there was a Page One story on Apple passing Google in market cap. You can see the thread here.

Three months later, when the market was still in the beginning stages of its free-fall, I recalculated the market caps to see how much they'd fallen. You can see that three here.

Now that another three months have passed, I figured I'd painfully calculate the market caps of these companies again and see how they're doing.

    Here goes:

    September: $159b
    November: $115b

    - Apple (AAPL) - $157,012,662,240

    Now: $81b
    Loss Since November: $7billion

    - Google (GOOG) - $156,392,862,560
    September: $135b
    November: $104b

    - Intel (INTC) - $135,658,860,000
    September: $112b
    November: $77b
    Now: $71b

    - Hewlett-Packard (HPQ) - $111,866,423,760

Cool. Funny the market cap of Apple is higher than HP or Intel.

Pretty interesting. Never knew the gap between Dell and HP was so large.

    What does that number represent?

That's the valuation from when MacRumors first posted the Page One story in August 2008.
