I believe the release is due sometime in June. There will be a demo available this Thursday on the US PSN and a week or two later on European PSN.

There's lots more information on widescreen mode, sprite filtering, custom sound tracks, online play etc over at the Capcom Unity Blog.

I'm really looking forward to this one.

:apple:

Been playing the hell out of this on my DC (goes great with the arcade stick :)), dont think I'd buy it again though.

This is the Dreamcast version of Marvel vs Capcom 2 with lots of added features and online play. And it's a damn lot cheaper that what the DC or even PS2 versions command.

:apple:

I'm really thinking about getting this but with the beast that is King of Fighters on the horizon I just don't know.

I'll check out the demo and if it brings me that feeling I had when I first played it then I'm all in.

Bless

I may boycott the game all together just for the fact that damn "exclusive" PSN demo is local multiplayer only.

It would have made more sense to release a single-player only demo with limited characters.

It's like the bionic commando demo on XBLive. I hate multiplayer only demo's..

There are a number of filters you can use with it to make it look better. The 'smooth' filter does an admirable job I think, but you can't expect perfection, this is a 320x240 game we're talking about here ;).

Aside from online play, probably the best feature will be soundtrack customization. It's time-consuming to make a custom CD-R mix for the Dreamcast, so for fans with a 360/PS3, that will be worth the price of admission alone. Of course, the Dreamcast is the most modern system I have, so I'll be rockin' the original for quite some time.
