Massive error in partitioning

Hi guys,
Earlier today I wanted to partition my hard drive into 2.
While halfway partitioning, I accidentally forced quit disk utility.
Now, the amount of space I originally set (250GB) for the partition has occupied my Macintosh HD and I can't find the partition file.
Please help!
