Got my iMac last week, with the Magic Mouse 2, and after using it for a couple of days I remembered why I stopped using the first iteration of it.

Bought the MX Master, and noticed it's a little laggy, and not as responsive as the MM2.

I'm on El Capitan. Anyone know why it's like this?

Try SteerMouse or USB Overdrive (uninstalling the Logitech drivers, if installed).

i use SteerMouse for my Logitech mice, easy to use and can program commands like FWD/Back click...

Another recommendation for using USB Overdrive as a replacement to the Logitech driver.
Also use the USB dongle instead of Bluetooth if you can.
