Huawei just announced their MateBook 2 in 1 Surface Pro competitor.

However, what caught my eye was their USB C dock named "MateDock".
It's priced at $89 and features the following connections:

- USB C in
- USB C out (passthrough charging?)
- USB A x2
- Ethernet
- HDMI
- VGA

Do you recon this would work with the Macbook? I'm quite certain the ports and video ports would work, but the passthrough charging is what has me worried, but seeing as it's USB C, it should be compatible?

Any thoughts?

Well it looks pretty damn good - From your pictures the design is even nice and all..

It does!
Especially considering you get both VGA and HDMI in one dock, which is nice for connecting to projectors that sometimes still use VGA.

Exactly why VGA is sometimes still necessary - Projectors for presenting in locations out and about - Customers and more, might not have HDMI connectivity
