Hey MacRumors!

I have just bought a macbook pro, and on my older computer - windows-based - i had mathcad, and really relayed on the program in school in order to do my homework. But now I have changed to Apple's computer, and I would like to have mathcad on this computer aswell.
And ofcourse I have done some research, and found out that there are several applications that allows you to install windows on your mac, and install the windows-based program there. But I would like to install mathcad without this kind of application. I would like to use another kind of application, like WineButtler, so that I don't have to install the WHOLE windows-software on my new beloved macbook, with perfectly running IOS.

I have already tried WineBottler, and the application it self, runs great, but in order to install mathcad, you need all kinds of windows service-packs, and I can not quiet figure out, how I also install those in WineBottler, in order to install mathcad, the way I intended.

Any help or suggestions?
Thank you in advance!
- Frank the beloved macbook user! :)

Wine usually isn't all that great to use so what I would recommend is a MathCAD equivalent for Mac. Try one of this:

http://www.wolfram.com/mathematica/

Wrong comparison, show me how will you calculate and simulate alternate current frequency with mathematica?
On mathcad simply you can put valors as a variable and you can so graficaly with manual scalability see the frequency band behavior...

Hello man,
I know that this conversation was pretty long time ago, but....Did you solve the issue with downloading Mathcad on Mac without Windows? I

Not sure if you resolved this but you might want to try Crossover which takes care of all of the windows files you need to run Wine. I have not tried it with Mathcad but it has worked will all the windows software I am using.
