Okay so I got the MATLAB version R2006b for Macintosh. Unfortunately its only written for PPC. I had the option of selecting the R2007a beta version which is a UB but I'd rather have a stable version so I got the PPC one. the new mbps are pretty fast so I wasnt really worried about running it in Rosetta.

I installed it and everything was perfect until I tried to open it. The icon jumps in the dock for about 25-30 times and then disappears. I've tried everything I could think of to no avail.

Is there any way to run the MATLAB PPC version under an Intel Mac or do I just have to suck it up and get the beta version now?

Thanks for the help.
