Sorry if I am repeating this question, but if someone could tell me if the new 2012 MacBooks come with a matte finish on the screen. Will it be something like the MacBook Airs?

For retina models, probably no. As the frame of the screen is black, which shows it is covered with a glass surface.

It seems like a good anti-glare screen protector could do the trick because the LCD is much closer to the surface, unlike the previous MacBooks.

I still wish they'd just make matte standard :)

Retina MBP's do not come with a matte option, but the screen is said to reduce glare by 75% over the prior glossy screen.

No, the MBP-R doesn't have a matte option, but supposedly glare is reduced. I'll wait to see one to determine if that's true. The non-retina 15" MBPs have a matte option.
