For quite a while now I have been plagued with no sound showing up in the system preferences. I have reinstalled Mavericks more than once however the problem still persists. I have attached two screen captures, one show the lack of built in sound in the system preferences and the other shows error messages I get when using Onyx to delete the cache and before reboot I get the attached message. I also got a third error message I missed getting a screen capture on saying apple driver.kext was not loading properly. Unfortunately these issues are beyond my skill set and I am hoping someone here might be able to assist me.

Something is wonky but you need to select the "Output" tab to show devices or lack thereof. You are showing sound effects and volumes here.

What model Mac?

Mac Pro 5.1, the output tab is blank as well ; )
