Mavericks Developer and Official Install

Hi there,
I was thinking to install Mavericks developer on my Macbook Pro (spare computer), but I was wondering whether when the official release is out will I be able to install it without loosing my data? I did a similar re-install of the official mountain lion without any problem, so I was just wondering if it's going to work in the same way.

Usually you can upgrade to GM with little or no problems but it may be in an unsupported state. I would plan on reinstalling.
