Mavericks/Drop Box

I had to have my computer wiped clean and now I cannot get Drop Box to start-I also have a new ssd. The message says:

Couldn't start Dropbox
This usually because of a permissions error. Storing your home folder on a network share can also cause an error.

Iv'e contacted Dropbox several times and I haven't gotten any help. Any ideas from anyone?

Did you redownload the Dropbox app and install it after you did the clean install?

So is your home folder somewhere other than the default local location like the message alludes to?

Open Finder the hit shift-command-g (all three keys at once) then enter /Users in the box and hit return. Does it show the user account you made there?

So you just did a standard install and did not move you account or anything?

That looks normal. Try redownloading the installer from this link and running it again and see what you get.

I found this thread. Look at the third post for a Terminal command others there said worked.

I tried that and it says command not found? It looks like there are spaces in the command. Do you agree?

Try it like this.

sudo rm -r .dropbox

I am running my system through my apple airport utility. I've never had this problem before-Could it be something with the way my sharing preferences are set? Maybe they were changed when Apple reinstalled Mavericks?

What do you mean by this? Airport Utility is the app used to configure an Apple router.

Only other thing I can think of is go through the troubleshooting steps here.
