It runs perfectly fine on my old Mac Mini. I don't remember the year but I'm sure it was the last model to include the slot loading drive. The new OS has improved the boot time exponentially.

I have the MacBook with that same processor and my best friend has the same, just a MacBook Pro. The funny part is I have 8GB ram while he has 4GB ram. Anyway, we're both running Mavericks just beautifully. In fact, I think it runs better than when I had Mountain Lion!

Maverick runs perfect on my entry level Late 2009 iMac 3.06GHz MBP with 12GB of RAM.

I started with Snow Leopard, upgraded to Lion, then Mountain Lion and now Maverick. It runs just as fine as always.

Thanks for your response. I went thru the same upgrade cycle. Hoping that the memory management is enhanced. I have too many tabs for safari and they use up all my RAM

Mountain Lion was awful on my 2009 MBP, but Maverick runs as smooth as silk from an upgrade. It's still indexing spotlight at the minute, but it is still running way better. Nice job Apple.

A Mac user in Brazil did the bench using Snow Leopard and Mavericks.

The funny thing is the only bench that got a lower score was about Memory.

Result ar attached here.

Mavericks on MacBook 2007 final

Does anyone know if i can install Mavericks on my Macbook run Mountain Lion and MLPostFactor 0.3?

Thanks.

Unibody MacBook with 2.0Ghz C2D with 4GB RAM and 9400m reporting in. Updated from 10.6.8 right to Mavericks (never messed with Lion or ML). Runs wonderfully and I've seen a little bit of a battery increase as well. All in all, very happy with it, though I've got a few bugs (like wallpaper resolution issues and some suspect scrolling), but other than that, perfectly fine. Well worth the upgrade if you're on SL.

OSX Mavericks 10.9

It runs flawlessly on my late 2009 13" MacBook 2.26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo (the last white unibody model). I have 8GB of ram, I have had no issues at all. And like it lot

Keep in mind that this is entirely subjective and that not all computers are the same.

On my system Mavericks is running nice and smooth, I feel that it's faster than Mountain Lion and cooler, with less CPU usage.

Graphics and animations/transitions are totally smooth.

My sig says it all, Mavericks for the most part (knock on wood) works OK. I notice the fan slightly more but I think thats because of the Google Chrome Help/Render process getting stuck. Running Firefox I don't notice fan noise.

It starts up and shuts down faster than Snow Leopard - I did a big jump :) But after I log in I notice things initially slower but speed up after use - I assume it's cache related.

So only thing bugging me right now, and seems to be a common issue is with Google Chrome Helper not responding.

I upgraded to Mavericks three macs with C2D, all three of them are running perfectly, better than with Mountain Lion.
The three macs are:
Late 2008 15" MBP 2.66GHz C2D with 8Gb ram.
2009 24" iMac 3.06 GHz C2D with 8Gb ram.
2010 MacMini 2.40 GHz C2D with 8Gb ram.

Is someone running Maverics on older machine? I have a MacBook Pro with 2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo CPU and 8 GB RAM. Maverics is optimized for the newer Intel CPUs. I wonder if the new OS will run on this old machine fluent and fast like the 10.6.8 i am currently using.

Mavericks on my mid 2007 C2D iMac runs very well for me with 4GB ram. Wondering if Yosemite will...
