I'm still trying to figure out what makes Mavericks reorder my desktops every time I click on an icon (on the dock) to call an already running app.

So let's say I have Xcode on desktop #2 and Safari on #4. While in Xcode, I click on the Safari icon from the dock. Voilà, now Xcode is on #2 but Safari has moved to #3, moving whatever was in #3 over to the right. Is there a way to avoid this? So far, I managed to open different apps on different desktops through the Assign To of the dock, but I'd like Mavericks to refrain from shuffling desktops, it's annoying.

Any tip?
