Mavericks - Storage Space Out-Of-The-Box?

Hey all,

How much space is available out of the box on a macbook that has Mavericks installed on it? In other words, how much space is taken up?

Anyone have a screen shot of the Storage tab on "About This Mac"? Specifically on a 1 TB SSD?

I have the 512 SSD. Out of the box was 499 and some change.

I think I remember 973-ish..? Might have been more.

~11GB with iLife installed. If something this small affects you the drive you're looking at is too small.

No, it doesn't both me at all - I just was wondering how much stuff I've actually added to my macbook in the last few days since I booted up for the first time...

Check your Home folder's size. It should contain everything you added, excluding Apps. That's in a different folder.

Thanks, this is perfect. Your audio and photos are near my totals. I was wondering why they come like that, good to see it isn't just my machine.

It started with 985, but some programs were installed.

So annoying that '997', they should find a way to make it 1000, it's so un-Apple to not go for clear cuts 🙂
