Installed Mavericks on newer MBP and upon logging in for first time and on the "Setting Up Your MAC..." page, it's stuck at "Setting up..." HELP!!

MAVERICKS stuck at "Setting up..."

How long has it been there? Typically, MAVERICKS will hang on the last point on the file copy process right before it reboots and appears to be hung, but I have never heard of it hanging there. There is really nothing you can do but restart your MAC and see what happens. Hopefully MAVERICKS will pick up where it left off and allow you to log into your MAC.
Ok, I shut it down and logged in using Apple ID as before....User Agreement....back at same "Setting Up Your MAC..." page and has been loading for about 5 min. Appears to be acting the exact way as before. From your experience does it normally hang at this point for some time?

That is odd I have to say. I did a complete erase and install from a from a bootable USB stick. Fully installed in about 20 minutes. You might want to check your hard disk. The funny thing about hard disks is if they are failing you won't know it until it's time to reinstall the OS.
