Just found out about being able to change the maximum cpu percentage in bootcamp. I am using a late 2011 macbook pro with the 2nd gen i7 and I changed the max cpu from 100% to 99% then ran a few games and logged the temps..
Went from 67-71c across 4 cores to 59-61c running identical settings/fan speeds (manual fan speeds). Insane drop in temps and zero drop in FPS I am blown away right now.
Now what I really want to know is, Is there any way I can do this on Mac side instead of bootcamp in OSX?
