Woodside, NYC. 2mb + are the norm when network not congested. Better than ATT's HSPA+......

these two were taking at the same location within minutes...

Max probably about 3.1 megs.

And you won't get that much speed on AT&T in NY in certain areas.. It's NYC. A lot more people have AT&T than Sprint over there.

I get about 7 megs in Miami. (AT&T)

My Att 4S is weird in my apartment. It constantly fluctuates from 1 bar to 3. When on 3 bars I can get around 2-3mb, but when on 1, the speed test won't even run. Sprint has been much more reliable overall in NYC. Lower pings usually allows pages to load up a little faster despite slower download speed.

I have to decide which one I am going to keep and which one goes on craigslist.
I rather pay $90 for reliable unlimited 1-2mb than $85 for 3gb of "4G"data that barely breaks 2-3mb (when it works), no text and 450 minutes on Att.

Or I rather just get straight talk or red pocket mobile again and pay 45-60 bucks and still be on att ****** nyc network. Decisions, decisions.
