    Hi,

I have an 28 inch Dell LCD screen that has a native resolution of 1920x1200. Does the MBA support that resolution through the Mini DisplayPort? The specs on the Apple website list the following:

    "Supported resolutions: 1280 by 800 (native), 1152 by 720, 1024 by 640, and 800 by 500 pixels at 16:10 aspect ratio; 1024 by 768, 800 by 600, and 640 by 480 pixels at 4:3 aspect ratio; 720 by 480 pixels at 3:2 aspect ratio"

... but I read that the MBA can also do higher res.

    Thanks!

The resolutions you posted are for the internal LCD.

    From the Tech Specs:
In short, yes, the Air will drive that 1920x1200 and higher (including the new 27" ACD and older 30" ACD with an adapter).

If it's a DVI monitor, though, you will need an adapter.

You need the Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter for 1920x1200 resolution and the dual link version for 2560x1600 resolution. The adapters cost $29 and $99 respectively.
