Max hard drive?

I'm planning on doing a few upgrades to my MacBook (mid-2010 white) tomorrow and I was curious if there was a max HD size? I'm currently looking at getting a 1TB internal HD if possible.

Sorry for all of the newbie questions! I'm still fairly new to Mac 🙂
