iPod Max physical size of drive in 4G video

I have a 30GB 5G iPod video and the hard drive appears to be on the edge. I'm looking at eBay for a replacement, and will make the change when it arrives.

My question is what physical size am I limited to? The 80 GB iPod is thicker, which I assume is from the extra drive platter, so if I purchase a 60GB drive, would that be too high? Does anyone know the max dimensions for fitting a hard drive in the iPod?
