what is the maximum RAM i can put into my .867 ghz tibook?

I have 1GB in there now, and I worry this might be the limit.

cheers

edit: title should read max RAM for ti Book?
sorry, hit return on accident

There is one memory socket plus 256 Mb soldered on the motherboard. The maximum module that can go in the socket is a 1 Gb (PC2100 or PC2700 DDR)
for a total of 1.25 Gb

That's it.

Are you sure about that?
I think that's the 12" 867MHz... It he has a TiBook, it must be 15".

Plus, if that were the case, how does he currently have 1GB?

yeah, the soldered 256 isnt right. i have two sockets, each with 512 installed.

the apple spec sheet does say 1024, now that i found it. i was hoping there was some slick way of getting past that.

i am getting to many beachballs for simple email, web, word activities.

thanks for the advice
