Hi everyone,
I just have a simple question. Are you able to blow the iPhone 5 bottom speaker by having volume at max? I'm always making sure my volume is at least 3 blocks from max to save the speaker. Is this necessary or does iOS ensure the sound doesn't go loud enough to blow the bottom speaker. So what I'm asking is, is it safe to play at max level?

Thanks

bottom speaker or earpiece?

I would guess "no" it's not possible... I wouldn't imagine they would design something that blows when turned up all the way. Over time, if run at max, I'm sure it'll have a negative impact in some way... but turning it up to max shouldn't blow the speaker immediately.

I wouldn't worry too much about it unless you're playing something with a lot of bass and using the EQ (source - 3 pairs of blown headphones).
