The Apple Vision Pro comes with a Solo Knit Band, a Dual Loop Band, a Light Seal, two Light Seal Cushions, a cover for the front of the device, a polishing cloth, a battery, a USB-C charging cable, and a USB-C power adapter. However, there are still several additional options for customers to add to their order, such as ZEISS lens inserts, which start at $99. When all of the extras not included as standard are added, the pricing breakdown is as follows:

  • Apple Vision Pro: $3,499
  • 1TB Storage Configuration: +$400
  • ZEISS Optical Inserts — Prescription: +$149
  • AppleCare+: +$499
  • Belkin Battery Holder for Apple Vision Pro: +$49.95
  • Apple Vision Pro Travel Case: +$199

Users can also purchase additional headbands, Light Seal Cushions, and batteries for their device from the Apple Store. The Vision Pro launches in the U.S. on Friday, February 2.

ahhh yes, the things that Apple DON'T tell you when a new product is released and you only find out during the pre-order process. I suspect there will be lot of people not going through with their pre-orders.

but yeah, those accessories are priced high even for apple, another light seal for $199? oh the joy keeps on coming lol

You’ve never included accessories or AppleCare pricing in your “maxed out” figures before. Odd that you’re doing it now.

There's an overemphasis on the price because existing "good enough" options already exist on the market. Had Apple been the first to market with a headset, the freak-out over the price would not be this bad.

Apple is probably selling this thing at a loss for the first year given how much technology is packed into it and the cost of development to date. This thing is a super-super-computer on your head, people! It's worth every dollar. Most of us just can't afford it. 😝

oh yeah, because 3499 is okay, but anything higher, thats where they will draw the line! I bet most people that start the process end the process smiling and their bank account lighter.

well ... they could always include at least RAM in the price to make it go higher still..somehow just adding $400 for extra storage was not sensational enough. but why didnt they throw in an extra battery if they were going to have the battery case?

Take note international readers... this is US dollars! (I wish it were law that publications had to specify the currency in the article, even if it's obvious)

Translated to CAD at todays' exchange rate, that's ... (drumroll) ... $6,453.92!

You can buy a small car for that.

And it does not include tax either! so it would be + 19% in my case

could I afford one? Yes. I just don’t see why I should buy it. My money could be put to better use. Maybe in a few years I might buy one if I see a reason to and if Apple dont kill it. So I guess thank you to early adopters…you’re going to need to support this for years. I’ll wait until the hardware and software improves. Sounds like it’ll be a rough experience.
