Via Apple USB-C-> USB dongle. Basic Memorex 32GB thumb drive. Neither of the 4 ports picked it up.

How does using it on your lap feel? On the couch? In bed? Is it confortable or just too big? 🙂

Hmmm... did you check the USB-C-> USB dongle with another USB device? Someone also reported that rotating the USB-C end of the cable made their device stop working.
