maximise the minimized

is there away to maximise a minimized window thats on the dock with just using keys? for example you can do this with alt-tab in windows but when you do that in mac it only will open up windows that are not minimized.

Not that I know of. Try hiding applications instead.

Hiding applications (Command + H) will allow you to use Command + Tab to switch back to them and show them.
