hi Guys,

I am running office2004 on my macbook.
If I maximise an excel window the top of the window disapears behind the toolbars - this is very annoying.
How can I get it to maximise it in a normal way that you can still see the toolbars.
Word behaves o.k. in that respect.
However if i maximise word the top does not disappear behind the toolbar, but it uses not the full breadth of the screen - how can I get that done?

I'd greatly appreciate the answer.

cheers,

Herwig

I had the same problem and I just figured it out. If your toolbars are floating instead of docked the excel window won't respect their space. Drag the left edge of the toolbar as to the left screen edge and it should dock.
