Maximize a window...or not.

When I maximize a window on iMax the window sizes to what ever I have set by using the little drag arrow at the RT bottom of the screen. Is there a way to have that window cover the entire full screen when the maximize is used?

Cinch and BetterTouchTool, found via search for "mac maximise window". The linked software works in Mac OS X, regardless of the hardware.

OSX will maximize a window to the point of it displaying all information it can. Once you can see everything it won't maximize it anymore in order to save screen real estate. Weird at first, but (for me) worth it.
