so, some articles and even apple's own support page says this new macbook supports up to 4k video output, which makes is great for me. since i can hook up a high-resolution monitor at home to maximize my screen space, and still keep this ultra portable form factor when I'm on the go.

but here comes the question, the apple hdmi adapter (which btw, will take 4-6 weeks to deliver.. nicely done apple) only supports up to 1080p output.

so does anyone know of anything like usb-c to mini display adapter? or HDMI adapter that supports higher resolution? i know that the google HDMI adapter 'seems' to support higher resolution, but has anyone confirmed the compatibility to this macbook yet?

Check out this thread. Apple has updated the specs on the adapter page.
