maxwell rendering on macbook pro

Has anybody tried using maxwell rendering or other 3d rendering application on the new macbook pro?
I am considering buying the new macbook pro to do 3d architectural model rendering using maxwell render. Previously, MacBook Pro 2.5 could not handle the rendering, so I used to use Mac Pro for rendering.

The new MBP is still a laptop, and not much more capable than the last one, afaik.
For 3D renders, you need a fast CPU, and as many cores as your app supports; the MBP has neither, it's just a portable comp, not a workstation.

Be prepared to wait.... a lot!
A rendering engine like Maxwell will cripple even the most powerful of Mac Pros.
