Soooo my computer is totally screwed right now and i decided to get an iTouch for the internet capability (&other options as well) When i bought it last night & turned it on, the only thing on the screen is the usb cable telling me to connect to my computer to get itunes (which i already have and don't need again!) Is there any way to get past this screen? I won't have a computer to sync it to until next week and since i already have itunes on my cpmputer it seems redundant!? help pleaseeee<3

That screen isn't telling you to download iTunes. It's telling you to plug it into a computer so that the iPod can talk to iTunes, to get activated. AFAIK, there is no way to begin using an iPod touch without a computer running iTunes, as per this:

In terms of alternatives, is it possible to activate the iPod with someone else's computer running iTunes? They might even let you do it at an Apple Store.
