I didn't know you could hook up your DS to your mac. Am I seeing that right? For what purpose would you need to do this?

Also, where'd you get the icons? :p

I got the I-river icon from a a later post in this thread, but altough I did the usual thing when saving and changing the icons for items, I can't seem to do it with this one. It's saved as:

attachment.php.png

what do I need to change it to to make it work? In the view options it uses preview to open this new icon, but all I get is the preview logo......arghhh!!!!

(and yes I know I am a such a noob).

yeah, on multiple monitor setups, the menubar doesn't span across them all. It makes sense because it'd just be dead space, but sometimes it can get slightly annoying to have to move the mouse back to another monitor just to access something in an app's menus. but at the same time, it gives you just that extra bit of free space to put windows.

On Windows computers, however, it helps to have the taskbar span all monitors. And you can do that with a 3rd party app called Ultramon. It lets each monitor have its own dedicated taskbar, which is really nice

Correct. Just go into Windows, and put a period (.) before the name of the C: drive or "local disk" or whatever it is named...then it will be invisible on the desktop when you boot into OS X.

But first, you obviously have to boot into Windows to rename the drive (being NTFS and all).

You have to convert it to an icon file to show the actual icon in the Get Info box. (attached is the converted iriver icon)
