Don't worry. You're not alone man; I'm in the exact same boat. The iPad I want is even similar to yours; white 32 or 64 GB Wi-Fi + 3G, however I want mines on the Verizon network. Every store I try, whether I stand in line for hours or not, either sells out completely when I get there or sells out of the one I want. It's extremely frustrating but hopefully we'll both be able to knab one soon.

Have you tried the Best Buy, et al links someone posted in a thread? They worked for me twice.
 
Patience will see you through. Simply focus on what you need to accomplish, at this moment. Keep in mind what is critical /relevant and what is not. Do not get side tracked and encumbered by trivial things.





























I have been waiting for some 30 years, since I was 21 years of age. I retire in exactly 30 more days.

edit: oh looks like it automatically turned off the caps that I did all my text in... why couldnt you do that with the OP macrumors? ....

Yes, on several occassions and every time an "In Store Only" would show up at a retailer near me when I called or visited the store, I was informed that the entire stock was either sold out or on reserve. But, now that I think I always asked a floor person. I should've went to the customer service desk like a previous poster stated.

know what you mean. spent from the 11th to the 16th chasing a 64gb at&t in stores, gave up, ordered online. April 20 ship date, but was told by apple it should be earlier as current orders are getting apr 23-25 ship dates. It'll come.
 
Just because you can't get ahold of the ridiculously popular iPad2 in the first month it's out doesn't mean it's not for you.

It just means you're gonna have to deal with your impatience and wait for yours to ship, as I'm sure you'll be quite happy with it once you receive it.

Patience is a virtue. And you'll appreciate it more for waiting. Any iPad is worth the wait IMO. Mine doesn't ship until the 21st of April.

I totally agree that waiting is just fine. In no time, you'll have forgotten the feeling of "anguish" and impatience...especially after your iPad 2 arrives.

I'm waiting for mine too...
